GREEN LEAF is a jolt of life. A slender salute to life’s perks and sprouts. It’s painted on wood using acrylics and mixed medium.

Reclaimed tobacco sticks are farm tools reimagined
Each is an artifact hand-cut from Kentucky wood, hewn to a standard of 52″ long, squared at roughly 1″, and pointed at each end
Their original purpose was to hang tobacco leaves in ventilation barns to cure
I found them stacked in a friend’s barn in 2011(they had stopped growing tobacco years prior) and by spring 2012 they received an award for most successful use of recycled materials
Each is hand painted by me
