painted tobacco sticks

These slender bolts of wooden wonderfulness originally hung tobacco leaves in a Kentucky ventilation barn. They were a farm tool on a friends farm for generations. I’d never seen one. I found them dusty in a stack and spectacularly appealing as tiny solid slivers of canvas.
