- Reclaimed tobacco sticks are farm tools reimagined
- Each is an artifact hand-cut from Kentucky wood, hewn to a standard of 52″ long, squared at roughly 1″, and pointed at each end
- Their original purpose was to hang tobacco leaves in ventilation barns to cure
- I found them stacked in a friend’s barn in 2011(they had stopped growing tobacco years prior) and by spring 2012 they received an award for most successful use of recycled materials
- Each is hand painted by me
Earth Connections
$550.00
EARTH CONNECTIONS is one of the six original sticks I brought back from the barn when I first discovered tobacco sticks and first painted them. It is also an early CONNECTIONS themed stick painted mostly on three sides. Later sticks are painted 360. It’s painted on wood using acrylics and mixed medium.
