- Reclaimed tobacco sticks are farm tools reimagined
- Each is an artifact hand-cut from Kentucky wood, hewn to a standard of 52″ long, squared at roughly 1″, and pointed at each end
- Their original purpose was to hang tobacco leaves in ventilation barns to cure
- I found them stacked in a friend’s barn in 2011(they had stopped growing tobacco years prior) and by spring 2012 they received an award for most successful use of recycled materials
- Each is hand painted by me
Stripe #24
$400.00
STRIPE #24 is special as it is a free-formed tobacco stick, not conventionally straight. It has an s-curve to it and painted bands along it’s length. It’s painted on wood using acrylics and mixed medium. Highly adorned with crystal on one side.
