DUDE almost looks like whipped cream was used to make the painting. What was used is corking. The piece is all encompassing as it’s frame is a full extension of the “canvas” area. It uses mesh, acrylic and mixed medium. This was done at the beginning of the Millennium and is very dimensional and highly adorned…like many of my pieces from that time.

DUDE is both creation and experimentation in one lively piece. To a wood frame I fitted wire mesh and used it all as canvas. This was an experiment on using corking as paint, using it’s dimensional aspect as I’ve used other paints for their dimensional qualities. It worked fancifully and to unique delight.
