- Painted reclaimed tobacco sticks are farm tools reimagined
- Each is an artifact hand-cut from Kentucky wood, hewn to a standard of 52″ long, squared at roughly 1″, and pointed at each end
- Their original purpose was to hang tobacco leaves in ventilation barns to cure
- I found them stacked in a friend’s barn in 2011(they had stopped growing tobacco years prior) and by spring 2012 they received an award for most successful use of recycled materials
- Each is hand painted by me
Black and White
$1,200.00
BLACK AND WHITE is dynamic in that it’s dimensionality was part of my goal in doing it. Layering black on top of white, white on top of black. It’s raw, primitive, modern too. Painted using acrylics and mixed medium on wood.
